Weekly Pool Maintenance Checklist equipment and luxury Dubai villa pool by Wajid Ali Landscap and swimming pool

During Dubai's long summer months, intense sunlight and elevated water temperatures deplete chlorine rapidly, creating ideal conditions for green pool algae. Follow this weekly checklist from Wajid Ali Landscap and swimming pool to keep your water sparkling clean.

1. Test & Adjust Water Chemistry

Maintain free available chlorine between 2.0 – 4.0 ppm and keep water pH strictly between 7.2 – 7.6. High pH reduces chlorine's sanitizing effectiveness.

2. Brush Pool Walls & Waterline Tiles

Brush wall surfaces and scum lines weekly to prevent microscopic algae spores from clinging to tile grout.

3. Vacuum & Empty Skimmer Baskets

Vacuum settled sand from the pool floor and empty skimmer and pump strainer baskets to ensure unobstructed pump circulation.

4. Filter Backwashing

Backwash sand filters or rinse cartridge elements whenever filter tank pressure gauges rise 8–10 PSI above clean starting pressure.
